US Spot Ethereum ETFs Own 5,08% of ETH Supply
American exchange-traded funds that invest in эфириум, currently own 6,3 million ETH worth approximately $26,7 billion. This is 5,08% of the entire supply of the leading altcoin, according to analytics platform Blockchain.
Meanwhile, according to SoSoValue, on Monday, August 18, spot ETH-ETF recorded a net outflow of $196,6 million, the second-largest single-day outflow since their launch.
Prior to that, Ethereum-based ETFs had raised more than $3,7 billion from investors over eight trading days. Last week, ETH-ETF attracted about $2,85 billion, significantly more than the net inflow of $325,8 million recorded the week before.
Bitcoin- funds are also losing money — on Monday, investors withdrew $121,8 million from them. On Friday, August 15, the outflow was much smaller and amounted to about $14,1 million.
Cryptocurrencies themselves also continue to fall. Over the past seven days эфириум fell by almost 4,2%, and over the past 24 hours the leading altcoin’s rate has fallen by 2,9%. Bitcoin fell by more than 4% over the week and rose by about 1% over the day.
At the time of writing, BTC was trading at $113,700, while ETH was trading at $4,191.
